To truly get into the holiday spirit, Uber is providing free reindeer-pulled sleigh rides to customers in Finland.
Travelers in Lapland, Finland, may reserve on-demand sleigh rides during two-time windows this month using the service, which is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. From December 12 through December 18, Uber Sleigh will provide two-hour rides at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
At Uber, we’re always searching for ways to add a little magic to every trip, and with the simple click of a button, you might be on a once-in-a-lifetime tour of one of the world’s most breathtaking locations. With the Lapland debut of Uber Sleigh, we’re thrilled to make holiday fantasies come true.
Each reindeer-drawn sleigh ride includes a blanket to stay warm and a trip to Rovaniemi, Santa Claus’s official homeland, through a beautiful snow-covered woodland.
The Uber Sleigh will be listed in the Uber app as being available for reservations for tourists who are in the Rovaniemi area of Finland.
Finland offers a variety of holiday activities beyond reindeer and sleigh rides, such as watching the Northern Lights and unwinding in wood-fired saunas.
Visitors who want to see Santa Claus a bit closer to the home could visit one of the top Christmas cities in the country, which provide activities like cookie exchanges in Aspen, Christmas with Mickey Mouse in Orlando, a boat procession decorated with glittering lights in North Carolina, and more.
Or take the Big Guy along with carolers, sing-alongs, hot cocoa, and a train journey with a Santa and cookie theme in Napa.
As an example, resorts in St. Lucia provide Santa visits, traditional family Christmas feasts, and other amenities for tourists whose notion of a White Christmas is lying on a white sand beach.
