The kid-friendly area will return at the start of 2019. The reimagined extension of Mickey’s Toontown has an opening date, according to Disneyland Resort, which is preparing for the Disney 100 Years of Wonder Celebration.
Visitors will be able to benefit from new interactive play areas and reinvented favorites beginning on March 8 of next year.
Mickey’s Toontown will soon transform into a dynamic symphony of sights, sounds, and feelings, Disney Parks announced in a blog post, catering to families and their youngest park visitors.
At the site’s entrance, CenTOONIAL Park, one of several brand-new experiences, will be unveiled at the launch. In this, there will be two interactive play experiences: a sensory-friendly fountain made for play and a tree with sculpted roots intended for crawling and exploring.
Mickey’s Toontown will offer wide, grassy play areas so that everyone can unwind, according to Disney. Goofy’s How-to Play Yard, “dedicated to all things play,” with a whimsical sound garden, and Donald’s Duck Pond, with its interactive water elements, are two more brand-new attractions.
The Chip ‘n’ Dale GADGETcoaster, a “unique, fun-sized coaster for the town’s tiny people,” is one of the attractions that has been reimagined.
A “fun, the interactive candy-making machine that only Goofy could invent” will now be found inside Goofy’s House, while Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Webby may now be contacted through portholes in Donald’s Boat.
Along with returning favorites like Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin, visitors may take self-guided tours of Mickey and Minnie’s homes. Disney announced the resumption of meet and greets with Mickey and Minnie.
Two other restaurants will be located on the property. “Diner classics” will be offered by Café Daisy at her outside restaurant. At Good Boy’s Toontown Farmers Market! At the “friendly roadside stand,” visitors may satisfy their cravings with snacks and drinks that can be taken with them.
Guests will get their first glimpse of Mickey’s Toontown on January 27, 2023, when Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, a ride in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, opens.
