Prime Minister Eswatini Cleopas Dlamini is the latest world leader to attend Expo 2020 in Dubai.

He participated in National Day celebrations in his hometown, as well as grand celebrations for the event, including a state-of-the-art dance festival at Al Wasl Plaza. The Eswatini Arts & Culture Group dances to different cultures, allowing visitors to learn more about the unique culture of this part of Africa.

Eswatini sponsored corporate meetings in the country, highlighting the country’s business opportunities. Dlamini, represented by King Mswati III, Thulisile Dladla, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Moses Vilakati, Minister of Transport and Environment. Najeeb Al Ali, Chief Executive Officer, Office of the Chief Executive Officer, Expo 2020 Dubai welcomed the delegates.

Dlamini said: “We are so grateful to be here to represent the Eswatini kingdom and to participate in this special event to put our community on television – business footage, travel films, and political films, we are telling the world: ‘Open for business.’ “We also welcome the opening of the United Arab Emirates, not only for Eswatini but for all African countries. Africa is interested in doing business, our continent has to grow and that’s what we want Expo. “The UAE has given African countries a very important opportunity to show what they can contribute and what is there.”

Dlamini visited the Eswatini Memorial, where he emphasized the importance of Expo 2020 in connecting Eswatini with other markets. He said: “Our message to the world is that we want you to come to Eswatini. “You have to look at what we have to offer here: you have the opportunity to take advantage of highly productive career opportunities as well as a solid infrastructure that you can acquire and make a difference.”

Located in a nomadic region, the Eswatini Pavilion defines the smallest land in the southern hemisphere and the second smallest city in Africa. Eswatini, formerly known as Swaziland, has a wealth of films, events, and culture, featuring them all in the pavilion.
