The Northeast Indian Railways has declared the Safari Train Jungle Tea as a traditional Safari at the Siliguri junction in the Ringtone area.

This is the second NFR event on the Darjeeling Himalayan Indian Railways (DHR) that attracts visitors while promoting tourism. As mentioned, the service of the DHR Toy train was terminated for nearly a year and a half due to COVID-19 contamination.

Train passengers often know the route from Siliguri junction to Rongtong station and receive food, which is a family room and a strong heritage home. Indian Railways On this trip, guests can enjoy beautiful mountain views and Mahananda Nature Reserve.

According to reports, the Sukna region administration also wants to open up the DHR legacy; Guests can enjoy a cup of Darjeeling tea in the Rongtong area. A 3-hour drive and guests will return to Siliguri Junction after a train stop.

Commenting on this, Sanjay Chilwarwar, ADRM, Northeast Katihar Department said they have started to travel more often, but the sports train trip will be arranged with suitable venues for tourists. He also said that since tourism is the only industry in the region, they decided to take more trains to attract more tourists to the region and promote commercial tourism.
