The Indian government has announced that fully vaccinated travelers from the UAE visiting India will no longer be required to undergo RT-PCR testing at the airport before departure. On a reciprocal basis, the government has stated that these travelers do not have to take the test. However, you must complete the passenger search form on the Suvidha Air portal like any other foreign traveler.

Air India Express, the international low-cost airline, also tweeted that travelers are required to upload the COVID-19 vaccination certificate from the list of recognized countries, including the UAE, on the Air Suvidha portal. Please note that all travelers must always carry a negative COVID-19 test report dated less than 72 hours before departure, which must also be uploaded to the portal before boarding.

Previously, only such passengers were exempted from performing RT-PCR tests before departure for India. who took both doses of Covid-19 vaccines in India.

Children under the age of five are reportedly exempt from post-arrival and pre-departure testing. However, if they show signs of COVID-19 upon arrival in India or during self-monitoring, they will need to be tested and treated according to the protocol.
