After the huge development of COVID travel, the government of the Sultanate of Oman has found India’s Covaxin mine made for unparalleled travel.

The new announcement will lead to a trip to Oman for Indian nationals on the drug Covaxin. Meanwhile, AstraZeneca/Covishield passengers can travel to Oman without exception.

“COVAXIN has been added to the list of COVID-19 approved contraceptives for travel. It is not contraindicated in the Country. This will discourage travelers from India from taking COVAXIN.”

Developed by Bharat Biotech of Hyderabad in collaboration with the Medical Research Council of India, Covaxin is India’s first Coronavirus vaccine. The vaccine is still awaiting government approval from the World Health Organization (WHO) for international travel.

Said dr. Soumya Swaminathan, WHO’s chief scientific officer, said the UN medical technology team would meet on October 26 to review the Emergency Response Unit (EUL) for Covaxin.
