When Europe has a new outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, the Netherlands has entered a blockade.

Many countries in the European Union are reporting an increase in the number of covid cases, which is concerning. The head of the Dutch Guardian, Mark Rutte, said the bottleneck was expected to be restored indefinitely.

The new ban goes into effect in the Netherlands within three weeks. On Saturday, the Dutch government called for restaurants and shops to close early in the morning, marking the start of a new lockdown.

The Netherlands also asked shops and all non-profit retailers to close early, in addition to social media. The Dutch government has announced that moviegoers will not be allowed to watch the game at this time.

In addition, the government has announced that there will be no more than four guests in the house, immediately. Cafes and discotheques will close at 20:00.

Mark Rutte said in a televised address: “Tonight we have a very bad message with a very bad and widespread system. Viruses are everywhere and need to be fought everywhere.”

Other countries such as Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic are considering new restrictions, or are starting to force them to do so today. With Christmas celebrations just around the corner, greenery and borders are not uncommon at this time of year.
